Use your domain name to receive email |
| |
You don't need to know how to run
a mail server to receive email at your domain name. Using
email forwarding service from easyDNS, and your own domain
name, you can quickly and easily setup mailmaps that direct
email to your existing email account. You can forward mail
to your Hotmail account, your ISP email account, your Yahoo
account, or any other email account you may have. |
 |
Create custom email addresses using
your domain name |
| |
You can create customized addresses
(also called aliases) that are
easier to remember than your existing email account and
personalize your email address. So, instead of being stuck
with john_1116@yahoo.com you can create john@example.com! |
 |
Email is forwarded to your existing
email account |
| |
Using email forwarding service, anytime
someone sends an email to you, at your domain name, our
servers look up your mailmap records (that's what email
forwarding records are called) and find out where that
piece of email should be delivered. Mailmaps are rather
simple really, one side contains the alias (the address
you created at your domain name) and the other side contains
the destination email address (your existing account). |
 |
Quick and easy setup process |
| |
Setting up email forwarding on easyDNS
is simple. Just login to your
easyDNS member page and use our user-friendly interface
to enter the address you want (the alias) on one side,
and enter the existing email account where email for that
address should be delivered on the other side. That's it,
within minutes you are setup to receive email using your
own domain name. |
 |
Create up to 100 addresses |
| |
With email forwarding service you
can create up to 100 different email aliases and have them
forward email to
up to 100 different existing email accounts. For example,
you could create:
sales@example.com
me@example.com
mom@example.com
dad@example.com
webmaster@example.com
...and so on...
...and have them forward to different email accounts, or
the same one, it's up to you! |
 |
Includes a Default Mailmap |
| |
In addition to being able to setup
specific email addresses at your
domain name that forward email to different places, you
can create what is called a default mailmap, so that if
someone sends email to an address at your domain that you
haven't specified as one of your
mailmaps, the email won't get lost ... it will go to the
default mail
address you specify. |
 |
Includes a Mail-to-All Address |
| |
A mail-to-all address is an email
address at your domain that "explodes" out to
all the mailmaps for your domain. You can create an address
like everyone@example.com,
for instance, and if you send email to that address the
email will be delivered to every address in your email
forwarding settings. A great way to get in touch with
everyone quickly! |

Available in DNS-Plus service |
| |
Email forwarding is available in DNS-Plus
service, as service only or
including domain name fees. |
